The 1st Appointment Process:
 

Let's discuss how we can tailor the most important gown you’ll ever wear into the perfect fit.
 

Step #1

Book an appointment as soon as you purchase your gown. We limit how many brides we alter for each wedding month.
 

Step #2

Come to your first fitting with your dress, your shoes, your undergarments (petticoats, bra, spanks, sticky cups, etc) (We do have cups that can be sewn into the dress for only $25-$40 a pair. It is much cheaper and doesn’t show from outside of the dress.)
 

Step #3

At your first fitting, we will try on your gown, talk about your vision for your big day, and create the perfect plan to tailor it to fit you beautifully.
 

Step #4

I will write up your invoice and go over each itemized quote. You can then tell me if you want to move forward with Sewing by Karen or shop around.

Step #5

We take appointments on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am - 6pm and Saturdays from 9am - 4pm. By appointment only.

Service Update

 

Due to the busy prom and bridal season, we are temporarily pausing the following services:

• Regular clothing alterations • Mending • Household items • Custom orders

 

This allows us to give our full attention to our current bridal and formal clients during this peak time. We hope to resume these services around July/August. You may also notice these options have been removed from the booking app for now. Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support - we truly appreciate it! Have a wonderful day!
