Bridesmaid Alterations Appointment This appointment is the first fitting for formal alterations. During your visit, we will fit the dress to you, answer any questions, mark the hem, and discuss any additional alterations or options you may want. Please bring the shoes you plan to wear with the dress so we can properly mark the hem. We will also review optional add-ons such as sewn-in cups with lift ($15–$25), dress steaming ($15–$25), and belts, which are available starting at $10. Most formal alterations typically range from $50–$175, depending on the dress and the work needed. We require half down at the first appointment, with the remaining balance due at pickup. Rush Policy: If your event is 3 weeks or less from the appointment date, a rush fee will apply. We also offer a separate Rush Formal Alterations appointment option, which must be selected when booking. Please be sure to choose the correct appointment type to ensure proper scheduling and turnaround time. Prom Alteration Rush Fees We usually have 30-40 school proms that we are work on each season, with around 5-7 schools per week, plus we also always have multiple spring weddings. Due to the high demand for last minute alterations, we will be having to charge rush fees again this year for prom dresses started under 3 weeks in advance. These rush fees are to help pay for all the extra hours my staff and I will be working on top of our regular planned schedule. We are posting this ahead of time to give everyone a head start in getting their dresses and planning on their alterations. *Keep in mind, you will also need your shoes for your fitting. Rush fees are in addition to alteration fees 3 weeks prior to event: $25 rush fee 2 weeks prior to event: $50 rush fee 1 week prior to event: $100 rush fee *week of event: Will probably not be accepting dresses **These rush fees also don't guarantee you a spot in the lineup. Important fitting notes: Please shower and wear deodorant before your fitting. White deodorant marks are easier to remove than lingering odors. Be cautious with self-tanner, excessive makeup, lipstick, and foundation, as these can stain formal dresses and some stains are very difficult to remove. Payment Policy: Cash or check preferred.
