Service Description
Bridesmaid Alterations Appointment This is the first fitting for bridesmaid alterations. We will fit each dress, mark hems, answer questions, and discuss optional add-ons. Please bring: Shoes each bridesmaid will wear Undergarments (bra, Spanx, petticoat, etc.) Optional Add-Ons: Sewn-in lift cups ($15–$25) Dress steaming ($15–$25) Belts (starting at $10) Most alterations range $50–$125, depending on the dress. Half down is required at the first appointment, balance due at pickup. Group Appointments & Discount Schedule your bridesmaids together to save time and money! 3–5 bridesmaids: 10% off (60-minute total) 6+ bridesmaids: 15% off (90-minute total) Notes: All bridesmaids must attend the same visit to receive the discount. Select “Bridesmaid Alteration Group” in the booking dropdown and choose the correct number of bridesmaids. Appointments run one after another; everyone should arrive on time with dress, shoes, and undergarments. Names may need updating in the system when they arrive. Rush Policy Events 3 weeks or less require a rush fee. Book the Rush Bridesmaid Alterations appointment to ensure proper timing. Fitting Tips Shower and wear deodorant before your fitting. Avoid self-tanner, excessive makeup, lipstick, or foundation to prevent stains. Payment Cash or check preferred. Credit cards accepted with a 3% processing fee. Cancellation Policy
Our appointment program will issue appointment reminders via text and/or email but clients are responsible for each appointment. There is a $50 missed/cancelled appointment fee for no-shows, or cancellations occurring within 24 hours prior to the appointment. Sewing by Karen will charge the max of 3 "no show" appointments, no matter how many are supposed to come. That charge will be $75. This will not be charged unless everyone in your group shows for the appointment. Please be sure to cancel through your confirmation email or contact the store. You will be asked for a credit card to book your appointment, however your card will only be charged if you are a "no-show" or cancel within the 24 hours. A credit card will be needed to book this appointment, but will not be charged unless you are a "no-show" or cancel within the 24 hour window. Please have the following items at each fitting: undergarments you plan to wear with the dress, such as: slip, bra, shapeware, shoes, etc. Wearing different garments will change the fit of the dress. Please note failure to bring the above items with you to each fitting will incur additional fitting appointment charge of $50. If any of these change after the 1st fitting, there will be an additional charge of $50. **If you decide to move forward without having any of these items, we cannot guarantee fit with be perfect and a note will be made on your invoice.
