Measurements for Dresses Ordered Online This appointment is for professional measurements for dresses being ordered online. If you already have a dress picked out—or even just the link—we can help you determine the correct size to order using the designer’s size chart. Over the years, we’ve seen many dresses arrive far too small or far too large. While weight changes do happen, sizing issues are often caused by incorrect measuring. Proper measurements matter, and knowing what to expect can save you stress, money, and unnecessary alterations later. What to Expect During Your Measurement Appointment: While most designers only require three measurements (bust, waist, hips), it’s important they are taken correctly: Bust: Measured straight across the fullest part of the bust, from where your bra sits in the back. Measuring the ribcage or above the bust is a red flag. Waist: Measured at your natural waist—usually where you bend when you lean to the side. Measuring higher or lower can cause incorrect sizing. Hips: Measured at the widest part of your hips, which differs for everyone. Bridal sizing typically runs smaller than regular street sizing, so ordering up is common. Dresses must be ordered to fit your largest measurement, whether that’s bust, waist, or hips. Alterations are normal—but dresses should not arrive unable to zip or excessively large through the bodice and hips. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s always okay to ask questions. If shipping takes 6 weeks or longer, the dress is often coming from overseas, which can result in sizing inconsistencies and delays. Cancellation Policy
Our appointment program will issue appointment reminders via text and/or email but clients are responsible for each appointment. There is a $25 missed/cancelled appointment fee for no-shows, or cancellations occurring within 24 hours prior to the appointment. Please be sure to cancel through your confirmation email or contact the store. You will be asked for a credit card to book your appointment, however your card will only be charged if you are a "no-show" or cancel within the 24 hours. A credit card will be needed to book this appointment, but will not be charged unless you are a "no-show" or cancel within the 24 hour window. Please have the following items at each fitting: undergarments you plan to wear with the dress, such as: slip, bra, shapeware, shoes, etc. Wearing different garments will change the fit of the dress. Please note failure to bring the above items with you to each fitting will incur additional fitting appointment charge of $50. If any of these change after the 1st fitting, there will be an additional charge of $50. **If you decide to move forward without having any of these items, we cannot guarantee fit with be perfect and a note will be made on your invoice.
